The leadership of the African Youth Parliament joins the global community to once again observe Africa Industrialization Day. This day has been set aside by the United Nations to further bring to limelight the plights of industrialization in Africa. Since November 20 1989 that observation started, Africa has only experience little improvement in industrialization and in most instances none. We hereby propose on moving forward that the respective governments of all African Countries should designate 30% of their annual budget to the purpose of industrialization. We also reaffirm that the most potent antidote for unemployment is industrialization in major sectors of the economy such as, agriculture, education, health, manufacturing, recreation, etc. For us, in observing AID 2017 we will be focusing on grassroots industrialization at our summit scheduled which holds on Monday 20th November, 2017.
