Have you been in a gathering of ladies, who are all made up and you are the odd one because you wanted to go natural? You may feel that you are unpretty for a moment.
Though there is nothing wrong with going natural, makeup has a way of boosting a lady’s appearance and confidence. However, if you want to allow your face to breathe and go natural, here is how to feel pretty without necessarily feeling intimidated:
1. Eat healthy food
We are sure you have heard this phrase a thousand times ‘you are what you eat and it is 100 percent true. The more you eat healthy food, the more you achieve healthy skin. Fruits, vegetables, omega 3- fatty acids, protein, and vitamin-enriched foods are essential things to add to your diet to give you the radiant skin you deserve.
2. Drink lots of water
We cannot overemphasize the importance of water. The body and its organs function rely on water to function properly. Make sure you drink at least three liters of water daily. It helps to flush out toxins in the body thereby making your skin radiant.
3. Wash your face daily
Taking good care of your skin is the first step in looking good without makeup. Spend the exact amount of money and time you invested in buying your makeup products to buy a good facial scrub for your skin and use it in the morning and night. Strategically develop a skin routine for your face and make sure you follow through day and night.
4. Use a moisturiser
Every time you wash your face, you must use a moisturizer. Make sure you buy a moisturizer that suits your skin type. For example, if you have dry skin, you will want to buy a moisturizer that has shea butter or aloe vera while If you have sensitive skin, you should buy a moisturizer that is mild and gentle.
5. Exfoliate your skin often
Exfoliation is necessary for the skin because it removes dead skin cells from the surface of the skin thereby leaving your face and radiant. It gives your skin a healthy glow which is credit if you are not wearing makeup. Be sure to buy a product that has exfoliation particles and use it as often as possible for the best result. You can also use a clean cloth soaked in warm water to exfoliate your skin. Simply rub your face gently with the cloth in slow and steady circular motions. Do not scrub your face too hard or use the exfoliating product too often as it can lead to dry skin or irritation.
6. Get enough sleep
Adequate sleep also determines how you will look and feel the next day. The body is designed to automatically repair itself and produces collagen while you sleep. When you have the right amount of sleep the body requires, your skin begins to glow and the dark under your eyes becomes no longer your problem.
7. Exercise
Exercise benefits and improves the skin. Do a minimum of three hours of exercising your body every week and watch your health improve. Exercise improves your blood circulation and helps you to get rid of toxins. It reduces stress and calms your entire body. If you are going outdoor for your exercise, make sure to wear sunscreen.
8. Practice self-love
The most important thing is to love you unconditionally and ignore any form of rejection. You cannot be perfect because nobody is perfect; so don’t reject your flaws because that would be you rejecting you. Embrace your flaws and your imperfections because there is nobody in this world like you.
