Federal government has initiated plans to end the ongoing pipeline vandalism in the Niger Delta region after a meeting with ex-militants. Paul Boroh, special advisor to the president on Niger-Delta Matters and coordinator of the Amnesty Program, said pipeline vandalism in the region was reducing the economic fortune of the country and inflicting pains on Nigerians. Lagos State House of Assembly has directed the State Water Corporation to find a lasting solution to the acute shortage of water in the State.
