Presidents Muhammadu Buhari and Paul Biya on Wednesday agreed that Nigeria and Cameroun should resume the demarcation of borders in the remaining areas between them. The exercise to be handled by experts from both Nigeria and Cameroun, according to the two leaders followed their observation that peace was already gradually returning to the affected areas. Lagos State Government on Thursday assured residents of the June completion date for the construction of 114 roads currently ongoing across the 20 Local Governments and 37 local Council Development Areas in the State.

Ex Lagos State Sports Commissioner, Ademola Adeniji-Adele, has died, in India. Mr. Adeniji-Adele had gone to India for a medical check-up after developing some complications, sources said. He was 60. An official of Lagos State government confirmed the development and said the state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, was preparing to announce it to the people of the state. Mr. Adeniji-Adele served as commissioner between 2007 and 2011 during the first tenure of former Governor Tunde Fashola. IN a bid to arrest the incessant cases of kidnappings across the country, the Senate on Wednesday recommended capital punishment for anyone found guilty of kidnapping in the country. Senate resolution was sequel to the report of Senate Committee on Police chaired by Senator Abu Ibrahim who also recommended adequate funding of security agencies in order to combat kidnapping appropriately. The lawmaker informed the Red Chambers that over 180 people were kidnapped in 24 states as at October 2015. There is a medium to high probability that South Africa’s debt will be downgraded to non-investment status, according to the country’s central bank. Kayode Fayemi, Minister of Solid Minerals has assured of raising Federal Government revenue by about N5 trillion every year, if the solid mineral sector is adequately harnessed.
