AT least 24 soldiers were injured as troops of the Nigerian Army successfully repelled an attack on 113 battallion in Kareto village of Mobbat local government area of Borno. Lagos State Government has advised Lagosians not to panic as the Nigerian Air Force commences night flying training exercise in the state tonight. The exercise according to the State’s Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Steve Ayorinde, is to commence today 18th to 23rd April, as from 7.00pm – 11.00pm daily. This exercise will involve the usage of the C-130 Hercules Aircraft by the Nigerian Air Force and the 201 Heavy Airlift Group. LEKOIL has confirmed that the Otakikpo Marginal Field in OML 11 will commence commercial production with 10,000 barrels a day output. The Otakikpo-002 well flowed oil from two upper zones during two production tests concluded on 10 April 2016. The C5 zone flowed at a peak rate of 6,404 bopd at a 36/64 choke while the C6 zone successfully flowed oil at a peak rate of 5,684 bopd at a 36/64-inch choke, for over 24 hours.
