Leveraging on the success of his last work, NO!, Righteousman has just released a new single, Babylon Man.
Although the audio and video teaser of the inspirational song was simultaneously released last week, the full length video will be released this Monday.
The singer said the song is a call for attitudinal change from mankind, given the various anomalies rocking the peace of the world. “A Babylon man enjoys the pleasure of cheating, violence in all spheres, drugs among other vices. This song is a call for attitudinal change on their part,” he said.
Babylon Man is produced by Chris Okoro and Righteousman. The instrumental is laced with reggae trademark guitar rhythms with a thumping raga drumming. This results in a groovy and smooth reggae joint that will surely intrigue fans of reggae music.
The video, directed by Righteousman, was shot in the neighbourhood of Festac, Lagos. It features Righteousman delivering energetic performance shots thus giving his message a face.
As a gospel artiste using reggae music as medium to get his message across, Righteousman had called for an end to violence through NO! which was released earlier this year.
He is also working towards the release of the album titled save Nigeria that would be released under a joint venture deal with Tongues of Unity and Now Muzik.
Promoters of the artiste say he has been busy this year garnering attention, visiting several TV and radio stations to promote previous releases NO! and Break The Silence, a project which features artistes such as 2face Idibia, Sound Sultan, Jo-El, Essence, Samini and K Slim among others.
