Following the footsteps of his elder sister Uche Jumbo, Nelson Jumbo popularly known as OGB has finished work on his first movie titled ‘My Rich Boyfriend.’
‘My Rich Boyfriend’ is a star studded movie starring Alex Ekubo, Ruth Kadiri, Bayray Mcwizu, Ik Ogbonna and a host of other celebrities, the movie is directed by Ikechukwu Nnebue popularly known as Flow.
‘My Rich Boyfriend’ is a subtle, humour-life drama of Kamsiyochukwu, the bread winner of her family, from a wretched village in the eastern part of Nigeria. She must conquer every man she meets in the town (Lagos) to make ends meet and re-write the despicable story of her family.
She meets her waterloo in Ebuka, a young attractive womanizer who will even borrow and use all his fortunes to impress a girl.
Before ‘My Rich Boyfriend’, OGB had gathered handsome experience by working as co-producer on a number of movies with his elder sister; they co-produced Misplaced, Mother’s Fight, False, Lies Men Tell, Unconditional and Under Your Skin.
He upped the ante by producing single-handedly three movies for his sister under Uche Jumbo studios, the movies were Almost Perfect, Oge’s Sister and The Long Night in collaboration with Iroko. His company, Nelson Jumbo Production is also into movie distribution.
Speaking on the movie Nelson Jumbo said, “Working on this movie has been fun, stressful, tasking and challenging at the same time it has been fulfilling. The movie talks about deceit, poverty and the things people do just to make ends meet, the director did a good job and every member of cast gave it their all, I am grateful to all of them for their dedication and professionalism.”
AMBO winner Bayray Mcwizu, one of those who starred in the movie said, “working with OGB on this movie has been a wonderful experience, the movie is one that I want every movie lover to watch when it is finally out in order to learn one or two things from it, I would say in all it has been great experience working with him and other cast members on this project.”
