If there is one good thing that came out of the lockdown, it has got be staying creative. With beauty saloons closed, ladies had to devise means to still look good while at home. From doing your own manicure and pedicure to turning their own hairstylist, many ladies became DIY professional without certificates. One part of the face that definitely was not neglected in this process was the eyebrows.
The eyebrows is a vital part for make up. If left bushy or unkempt, it spoils the whole facial appearance. Here are tips to help you pluck, shape and define your eyebrows to perfections according to our favourite make-up artists;
- Allow your eyebrows grow
For faster results, you can apply coococut oil or acstor oil before bedtime.
- Determine your eyebrow shape
To determine the length, hold a pencil up to your left/right nostril and point it straight up towards your forehead. This indicates where your brow should start. Turn the pencil diagonally, still holding it in line with your nostril to figure out where your brow should end, ensuring it is past your eye’s outer corner.Once you’ve got that down, the brow shape will require a little extra effort.
- Tweeze
After taking few minutes to prime, which will prevent you from making further mistakes down the line, make sure you tweeze your eyebrow after a steamy shower
- Pluck sparingly
Start by brushing your brows up and across to see the shape. Then, pluck any stray hairs one or two at a time.
- Fill in the gaps
After plucking, fill in the sparse area with a fine brow pencil.
- Apply brow gel
For the finishing touch, add a hint of brow gel to hold your masterpiece in place. The trick to fuller-looking brows is in brushing.
