Jump and Pass starring Ime ‘Bishop’ Umoh, Alexx Ekubo and Belinda Effa
This movie making strong waves in the local cinema industry especially in the south-south has Ime ‘Bishop’ Umoh doing what he knows best; playing the clown in the movie. Even Alexx Ekubo who is currently the most popular when it comes to randy roles in Nollywood couldn’t resist doing what he does best. The movie is more of a comedy than a drama, but if you are someone expecting to see anything new, you might be disappointed. On the contrary, if you enjoy these actors doing what they always do, this movie is for you. The movie is not worth my hard earned money on a weekend, but if someone else is paying… “Awoof no dey get bone nah!”
On a scale of 0 – 10, the movie is a 4.
Transformer 4 – Age of Extinction Crashes China’s Box Office Ticket Sales!
If anyone thought Transformer 4 – Age of Extinction’s over $100 million USD weekend opening in North America was a fluke, then $90 million USD China opening is way totally off the chart! The movie keeps winning and not even being a sequel has in any way done damages to it. Thankfully, there is no movie premiering this weekend because if there was, the makers of such a movie would have cried!
Guess what? One thing previous Transformers (1 – 3) didn’t lack in any way were hot, beautiful actresses! Well, the new girl, 19-year-old actress, Nicola Peltz is beautifully conservative by all ramifications and suits the Age of Extinction.
On a scale of 0 – 10, the movie is now an 8.

BET Awards 2014 Headliners – Davido, Nicki Minaj, Keke Palmer, Chris Brown and John Legend
Davido hit the Nigerian music scene with a bang and he has not compromised the standard ever since. His debut hit track, “Back Then ft. Naeto C” clearly portrayed him as a serious and focus minded artist. He further demonstrated this in his recent victory at the BET Awards where he won the Best International Act – Africa 2014. Yet again, Davido’s showed us that “Talent is Not Enough”.
Nicki Minaj after winning BET’s Best Female HipHop Act for the 5th time did not forget to throw a shade at latest female rap sensation, Iggy Azalea (some have called her the female “Eminem”), Azalea has been topping the billboard chart for the past five weeks! Nicki said: “What I want the world to know about Nicki Minaj is when you hear Nicki Minaj spit, Nicki Minaj wrote it.”
Keke Palmer’s see-through outfit to the awards left everyone speechless. No one was more daring!
Chris Brown while attending the awards dropped his new single, “New Flame”, his first single since leaving prison.
John Legend worked his way to the heart of the audience with his performance of “You and I” and “The Worst” with Jhene Aiko – his’ was my performance of the night!
Here, we say congratulations to all the winners.
Coco Banana by Ketch Up ft. Banky W
With a catchy chorus and best use of a Banky W feature, Coco banana which the artist dropped over a year ago has not lost its amazing flavour and after the video was dropped this week, no one doubted the sweetness of the song. Give it to Ketch Up, he’s one of the very few artistes making his genre of music tight!
On a scale of 0 -10, the track is a 5.
