Martine stands at the forefront of human resources leadership. Her track record of professionalism and excellence has positioned various organisations for success. In the course of her work, she has led high-performance leaders and positively impacted employee relations, as well as applied strategic approaches to launch critical global HR initiatives.
She has become a trusted advisor in her current role with e-commerce giant, Amazon, as Senior Human Resources Business Partner in Washington, DC, United States. As an employee relations expert, she effortlessly and effectively bridges the gap between corporate leaders and over 1,000 associates while forging relationships that foster trust and brand loyalty.
Martine’s first HR opportunity was as a Human Resources Specialist with Morris Communications. She became a valuable employee who demonstrated a deep desire and commitment to understanding federal, state, and local regulations. Her hard work and tenacity would not go unnoticed and within a year, she led the charge in providing multi-state human resources support to over 400 employees from coast to coast.
Prior to her current role, Martine served as the Sr. Human Resources Business Partner for General Dynamics Information Technology, Washington, DC, United States. There, she provided support to a 3 billion dollar programme for the Office of Intelligence and Homeland Security which serviced 600 employees. She also tackled the organisation’s attrition rate by pioneering an all-inclusive career pathway programme resulting in savings on cost-per-hire and top talent retention.
Throughout the next six years, Martine surpassed her career goals by exceeding the expectations at multiple Fortune 500 companies. Martine willingly shares her expertise within her community as a facilitator for Resume and Interview Workshops offering resume critiques for recent graduates, as well as speaking at local colleges and universities. She has also sat on several human resource boards, the most recent one being the Northern Virginia Society for Human Resources Management Board of Directors as the Community Relations Chair.
As an active member of the American Association for Access, Equality, and Diversity (AAAED), Martine is passionate about fighting for fair and consistent practices within the workplace and in her community.
